Learning in Reverse: A Video for Flipped EFL Classroom
Flipped Classroom is a kind of blended learning where students learn new content before the class through videos or online activities and when they come to the classroom, the class time is used for practice and reinforcement.
In language classes, this approach has many benefits. Since students come to the classroom with background knowledge, they can make more time for speaking activities, collaborative tasks and communication. Flipped classroom approach also provides learners to design their learning process, work at their own pace while watching videos, pausing or rewatching when needed.
Last week, we were given a task about creating a teaching video for a flipped EFL classroom. There were two options and we chose to teach vocabulary with my group friends Reyyan, Elif and Furkan. You can visit their blogs by clicking on their names.
First, we decide to which words and unit we teach and then we start to create video. After design, it we recorded our voices and added the recordings to the video. Actually, we did not face many challenges, it was fun to design and create a video for flipped classroom. We used Canva to create our video. It has many tools and by using them we can create almost everything and also it includes many beautiful templates. Moreover, it is easy to use Canva. We also create a lesson plan for our flipped classroom. You can check it by clicking here.

We also desing a pre-class activity. It should be done after watching the video by the students. Here is the link of the activity: Activity
After receiving feedback from both our instruction and friends, we decided to change our ASSURE lesson plan a little bit according to the feedback.
Here is the last version of our task: Lesson plan
